Dear Families,
The Soiree was a big success! Lots of people! Great food! A wonderful environment where all were able to get to know each other and share resources that will benefit your children at Villa Teresa School. Thanks so much to the committee that pulled together one of our finest events. We had a video presentation that was created by our PTO president, Beth DeGrace that was so touching. Seeing our little ones and the love they share with each other makes real all that we teach in regard to Gospel values. And just think –this is our future generation – our leaders in the not so far away future!
This will be the last week we are in uniform. Starting next Monday if you have uniforms that in good shape and you would like to share with others, please bring to the front office. Sometimes an envelope with a suggested price is attached, and sometimes people just donate them.
We have a very busy week ahead of us! Today at lunch, our mothers from Kindergarten through fourth grade will come and enjoy a special meal. You can come when your child has their lunch period. Tonight we have our dance recital at Christ the King Church at 7:00 p.m. I have our last Principals’ Meeting on Tuesday at St. Eugene’s. Our LC 3 End of the Year program is at 5:15p.m.(Tuesday).
Our P. E. Teachers are sponsoring Field Day on Wednesday and Thursday at the children’s regular P. E. time and there will be an Award’s Program Thursday morning at 8:45 a.m. This year we placed Third Place in the Archdiocesan Track Meet in the small schools’ division. Yea!!!
Fr. Ed Weisenburger will come Friday at 9:00 a.m. for the last Mass of this school year. So hard to believe! The First graders will have their End of the Year Program at 1:45p.m. on Friday also.
Looking ahead, we have Piano and Violin recital at 5:15 p.m. on Monday, May 18. Tuesday brings us the Kindergarten graduation at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. At 3:00 that same day, the third graders will be performing the Irish Jig with the fourth graders. Wednesday, the last day of school, our fourth graders’ graduation is at 10:00 a.m. with a cookout following (and swimming if the pool is ready). Day care will be offered Thursday and Friday as well as the following week. To those coming in the summer, you will be receiving your information sometime in the next two weeks.
Don’t forget to mark your calendar for Saturday, May 23 at St. Joseph’s Old Cathedral. We will be closing out our 75th Anniversary year with a Mass of Thanksgiving at 4:00 p.m. A second invitation to join us in the choir and as other liturgical leaders will be coming home this week.
The Business Office is asking for those who are not current to pay by May 20 so you can be assured service for the summer (and report cards or other records you may need).
Thank you all for a great school year! I still can’t believe this is the next to the last Monday Notes for this year.
