Welcome to Villa Teresa Summer Program! And for many of you – Welcome to Villa Teresa!
As stated in our first Friday Notes last week, usually you will receive from me regular communication each Friday, but I couldn’t resist welcoming all to our “Discover Our World” summer. This week the theme is Discover Imagination.
In last Friday’s communication, in regard to the swimming schedule – it looked as if only K-4th graders swim. Swimming is provided for our older threes on up to our fourth and fifth grade age groups. This year LC 3 and LC 4 will do a rotation of Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday swim time. On Fridays, LC 4 will have free swim.
For all our new families, we want you to be part of the Villa Teresa Spirit of giving. Each month the school participates in a service project. This month was tied to last month to encourage participation as a School Team in the Walk Now for Autism that will be held this Saturday, June 6 at the AT and T Bricktown Ballpark at 2 S Mickey Mantle Drive. Check in time is at 8:30 a.m. and the Walk begins at 10:00 a.m. You need to register (and there is no entry fee) on http://www.walknowforautism.org/oklahoma/jimisleague
As a school contribution, we hope to have everyone’s donation in by this Thursday so we can offer a check to help in research of this complex disorder. The event will host fun activities for little ones and a chance to experience unity for a worthy cause – so I hope to see lots of the Villa Teresa family present this coming Saturday. There are bowls with the Help Cure Autism signs in each building. Usually we ask our little ones to check sofas, empty their piggy banks, check your pockets – and of course any donation from your heart is acceptable and welcomed.
